SO I have taken an extremely long hiatus building anything other than Gundams. I currently have 5 kits I am trying to decide on building… Which one should I go for? I already have them on hand, just don’t know which to do. The only after market I may add is resin wheels.
Here are the choices:
- Trumpeter M983 HEMTT Tractor
- Trumpeter M4 C2V
- Trumpeter M1142 TFFT
- Trumpeter M142 HIMARS
- Magic Factory M-SHORAD Bradley M2A4 IFV
Let the comments begin. Perhaps I may do an average modeler build BLOG as well.

I think you should go for the Bradley m2a4 magic factor for me is good to build and not confusing instructions.

Throw them away and build a Tiger I.

I want to do something modern this time around. I have done a few tigers before. The HEMTT is one of my favorite trucks, the C2V is just different, and the HIMARS, well I actually flew one around in the back of an MC-130P while I was a Flight Engineer in the USAF.

Welcome back Jeremy. I have not built any of those specific kits so I can’t offer an informed opinion. I did build a Trumpy MAZ with trailer and was fine. Good luck!

Oh I forgot, on this site you’ll find many knowledgeable modelers especially on trucks, I’m thinking Gino will chime in soon and be a big help.

I like them all. In order, I would recommend the M2A4, M983, and M142. They are all great kits and will be perfect kits to start back with.

I was going to say choose the easier to put together to get you back into the groove of things, but they are all monster kits. So I will say the Magic Factory Bradley. Might as well do the latest and greatest. I here it is a very good kit. Quite a few you tubers havs done this project. Best of luck, welcome back and have fun.

I think the Bradley will be a good re-getting into kit.

So far looks like there is a clear winner, unless tommorow throws the vote in another direction, the bench will be cleaned and the Bradley will begin. Thanks for all the great comments so far!

Welcome back Jeremy. I have built the TFFT and it is an excellent kit. Builds up great and no flaws. I have also started on the Bradley and that too is a great kit, excellent fit. Whichever you build, post it here!

This would be the most interesting build of the five to follow.
