If I wanted to represent a current Ukranian infantryman (regular force) what figure should I base it on…a '90’s Russian figure? Are they using weapons from the AK family, or are some using NATO supplied weapons?
I saw a Ukranian in modern German camo on the news this morning. On another thread they show a guy holding an old Russian DPM drum fed machine gun.
Hi, @Biggles50
Here are a few links to manufacturers that produce resin models of modern Ukrainian infantry:
http://danmodels.org/category/katalog-produkcii/katalog-produkcii1
also BlackDog miniatures: F35146 1/35 Ukrainian army soldiers set
and also kit from Miniart
UKRAINIAN TANK CREW AT REST (37067)
I hope this information could be useful for You.
The seated guy in the Tank crew looks enough like me I’ll have to get the set. (and remove what little hair he has.)
They’re using so many types of uniforms and equipment the possibilities to model them are almost endless.
Trying to find the closest match to the Ukraine kaska helmet….but I think with the amount of different kit in use I could use any….
Couple of ideas….Dragon kits from left to right 1. Modern PLA helmet w/ cover, 2. New York ESU, helmet, 3. Hong Kong SDU Helmet, 4. Live Resin uncovered MICH
Looks like the Chinese/ Russian copy cats have already got their hands on Yaroslavs Live Resin new modern Russians……won’t ship outside Russia either but going through Aliexpress comrades to advertise the figure/s. I confirmed the seller circled at top is in Russia. Hopefully Yaroslav will move his business to a non sanctioned country so we can still get his items.
Started on my Ukraine SF Team figures…using Live Resin, Legend production, UFAN for figures. Weapons are from Zvezda (need to modernise them with rails and attachments yet…), Meng IDF Tavor rifles (represent the Ukraine ‘Malyuk rifle’ which I will add suppressors to) .
Love that bull-pup design!
Wow, those Live-Resin add-ons really spruce up the YuFan figures.
