Just remember; you chose this.
I finally got some bench time and I’ve made progress on my KT. The camo painting is done with the detail painting up next. While working on the KT I resurrected another one of my hanger queens - a toon Tiger 1 from Fujimi. I’ll be finishing it as Tiger 131.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Sight added. Keeps going crooked on me.
There is still an arm to connect the sight to the gun, adding the shield, then adding the gun to the carriage (not sure if I want to glue it or keep it separate). And then, I’m done.
@iflytb20 Those both look really well done. They remind me of Funsters from days of yore.
@Gary_Kato You are making great progress on a very intricate model. I regularly attach a part just slightly off, only to notice the problem when fixing it becomes a major endeavor. Predictable and kinda funny.
The carriage is full of spindly fragile pieces. I managed to break a support arm while fitting the gun to it.
But the gun is now glued to the carriage.
Just the shield and some paint touch up to go.
Calling this one done. Broke the tow ring off as I took these pictures.
There was going to be another photo from above, but I managed to drop the camera right on top of it. Fortunately, only a tiny piece came off, but I decided to quit while I was ahead.
Congratulations on finishing! The model is quite intricate and looks very nice, even with the minor damage. I am sorry about the camera drop and hope the broken part is easy to repair.
It does not look very comfortable to use, but at least it has a large gun shield.
Without the gun shield, it looks like a robot.
Work continues to get it done. A pt76 f4om rubicon will complete the government vehicle force. I can finally run some games.
Finished my planned build plus the unplanned one
I got two hanger queens off my shelf of shame
The planned build……
And the unplanned one
I hope to complete more of my stalled builds in the coming few months. In fact I already have my entries planned for next year’s group build
Thanks for looking
Cheers
When they come off the Shelf of Shame, do they move to the Cabinet of No More Room?
Mine certainly do…
Congratulations on crossing the finish line with your two models! They are both really fun and well done, like they just drove off the factory floor in some game world.
…
Six weeks yet remain in this campaign. There is still enough time for more old projects to cross the finish line. Please see Post 104 for the proposed campaign medal.
My Unfinished Business Sequel, the 30 year old Shelf Queen mentioned above wrapped.
Hope we have an Unfinished Business 2025, as four queens remain on that shelf of shame.
Outstanding work Wade! The whole thing is incredible but I love those fender springs especially!
Beautiful! Very well done, lot’s of attention to detail.
Nice to see these queens off the bench and on display as they should be. Great work guys.
My build for the campaign will be the ancient Airfix 1/72 scale Heinkel He-111 from 1962:
I picked up the 1970s MPC reissue for three bucks at a local hobby shop’s going out of business sale quite a few years ago. The first annoyance with this kit was the fact that the model is a different version than the box showed (the model has the late dorsal turret and exterior ordnance) so the kit markings couldn’t be used. The shapes looked right, though, and I got as far as assembling the basic airframe.
The fit was not great. After filling all those awful seams I became bored with the project and set it aside.
There’s only a month to go in the campaign, but I figure all there is left to do is to paint this thing!
Welcome aboard! That looks like a fun model.
