I don’t see the point in using end connectors if the sprocket directly engages the link itself. It’s a weird design unless the track is used on another larger tracked vehicle.

It’s a simple answer , The end conectors are what joins the links together.
The Sprocket teeth engage the track in the middle of the ends and not the connectors

Yes Donald. I know how this works. But usually the end connectors engage the sprocket wheel. The other vehicle I know of using the same type of tracks is the German Marder1A5.
