Sounds exactly correct because the more important a package is to a customer the more likely it is to go on a wild ride around the country.

I hope your M113 arrives soon and in good condition.

The incompetence is amazing. My 113 did arrive and it was a day early. My Sherman on the other hand was delivered blocks away on another street. The person who received it very kindly dropped it off at my house.
Going over the 113 I did notice one issue they reused the 50 cal sprue and it has a WW2 ammo box, I don’t think there is a modern ammo box in the kit. An ACAV will need a lot of ammo boxes.

I had a package come to the local processing facility which is 30 miles from me.

They sent it to Alaska for a week before returning to the facility and then to me.

An additional three days later.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I am in Georgia, basically diametrically opposed to Alaska on the map.

Should someone tell Andy?

At least they know where it is…
FedEx football would be worse…

Our postal service blows worse then USPS they say two day delivery and it gets there in two months… if at all…

I remember shipping something 3-day express with UPS to New Orleans, and it went from San Diego up to the LA aggregation center, out to a distribution center in Louisiana, back to LA, out to a different distribution center, this time in Arkansas, and only then did it go to New Orleans, a total of nine days in transit. I have not been particularly impressed with UPS’s reliability for delivery time.

Personally, I’ve noticed things have been a little slower with the new add/on shpping company (or service) Andy has been using. Wondering if that could be the factor.

You guys complain about USPS, but keep in mind Ecuador does not have a functioning postal system. Services like DHL & FedEX are eye-wateringly expensive, which makes international shipping challenging.

For what it’s worth: This MAY, at the very least, explain some of the current shipping issues in N America. Up here in Canada we are currently in the midst of a national Postal strike. The holidays are only a few weeks away… you see where I’m going with this? UPS FedEx, etc., are who we’ve turned to get stuff delivered. They be a wee but overloaded at the moment.

But, ya, I’ve tracked packages that have taken some pretty odd routes to get to me. I figure it’s how they have to schedule their “fleets”. But, so far, everything has arrived within a reasonable time frame. My most recent purchase (Meng’s 1/35 Saraf - I didn’t want to spend the money… but it was a not bad deal… and I really want to build this kit, and… well… you only live once) arrrived today, via UPS, a day earlier than originally scheduled. I know, I’m pleasantly shocked.

Doesn’t help they are also hiring delivery drivers who like to sit in your driveway talking to friends on their phone for 10+ minutes.

It is time the Liberals legislate them back to work as this is an essential service to Canadians. This strike boils down to personal greed, greed, greed they want; no part time weekend workers (= more overtime), more vacation (7 weeks), more pay (19%), more “personal sick days” to 17 and 80% short term disability, and cost of living allowance…… Canada Post has lost 3 billion dollars in the last three years. There are Seniors that rely on Can Post for cheques and other Gov’t services.

I am feeling the pain of Can. Post, I have four shipments sitting somewhere in Customs. 3 from Australia and 1 from USA. The best courier service I’ve used is DHL.

That’s odd. Time is money. They usually drive so fast in my neightborhood I’ve thought more than once of reporting them. Had my daughter been roller blading when they sped by I surely would have, assuming they survived the throat punch

They speed to make up the time they spent in the driveway.

Like I said, time is money. I already know why they drive fast. My neighbors’ sons both drive for UPS around the holidays, One like to get done as fast as possible because they’re allowed to pick up another load if they wish - and make more money. The other just likes to be done.

Do you have any hot neighbors who like to parade around in the buff like the gal in In the Heat of the Night?
Maybe there’s something attractive about your driveway.

Damn. Those kinda remind me of a line from a Bob Sieger song…
