That M51 is going to need some serious TLC. Looks like it was a 1973 YKW model.
What a great collection. Some great examples there. Thanks for going and posting them all.
The M1126A1 Stryker has the armor upgrade used by the 75th Rangers in Syria. That’s really cool.
Your welcome Johnny…I have a bunch to post of the US National Infantry and Calvary Museum on my next thread.
Very interesting shot of that Challenger 1. Its a Mk1 hull which are very few and far between and it looks in very good condition as well. Not sure about the turret as its completely fitted out minus the TOGs barbette … will have to look into that as the very early production run had the barbette fitted but no TOGs inside … unless the barbette was removed … research needed now damn lol
Thats the one…there are still .50 caliber bullets embedded in the armor…I think this JagdTiger is credited with 16 Shermans.
About the restoration of the JagdTiger…I was speaking with the curator of the museum this morning for about an hour…very intresting converstation. He stated that there are far offbplans to work on restoring it…but big $$$…it needs all new torsion bars, new breech as it was lovked up by the Germans when they abandoned it. Also they use only original parts in their restorations…thereby keeping the vehicle original. Your other museum around the world use remanufactured parts, and other non original parts.
I believe he said the running Panther in the Samur museum has a leopard engine in it.
