DEF Model recently revamped all their 1/35 scale HMMWV resin wheel sets. This review deals with the set sporting BF Goodrich Baja T/A tire on 24 stud rims.

The previous set is perfect. Except additionnal markings only visible in close-up pics, those new wheels don’t look so different.

I’m not quite sure of the difference between the old and the revamped set. But I do like the idea of upgrading the older sets using new technology…

Do you perhaps have images of the older set used on your model? I would love to see them.

This particular set will be used on my upcoming M1151, so hopefully there will be images of painted and weathered wheels someday.

Ok I will try to make close-up pics of them.
They are glued on a M1151.

I used the previous set on my M1151 build. DEF is my go-to for wheels.

This is an another thread pattern on your picture.

This is Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tire, not BF Goodrich… but MT/R from DEF Model is the next on my review list.

Looking good, thanks for the photos. Do you remember if the DW35032 wheels were in one piece each? I had an earlier version of DEF Model Good Year Wrangler R/T II wheels (DW35004) and each of those wheels had to be constructed using several pieces:

I know this set you are talking about, with separate rims. That was not practical because dfficult to obtain a good alignment with tires and when wheels are built there was still a gap around the rim.

That was not a good idea of conception at all !

In the set DW35032, wheels are in 1 piece except hub caps which are provided separately.

Hub caps are the reason I asked… as I think I can see the small gap between the caps and the rim in your set.

Indeed there is a gap around hub caps.
