Well, I for one love these expedient-driven big “sluggers”; whilst the German threat may have disappeared, the Soviet one remained and it’s always interesting to speculate on what would versus what.
Meat and drink to the What-If fraternity (and none the poorer for that) but it’s always interesting to me at least, to see US heavy tank development, and the culmination in the form of the M103 series.

Have you seen the Takom kit? I have the Takom and think that may be the better option if still available. Takom uses link and length track. I believe the barrel on the end of the gun tube is a bore evacuator which the US was beginning to use, it also appears on the M26A1 around the same time.
