My brother served on the Kennedy during Vietnam. He tells me that when he served on the ship, it had undergone a FRAM II conversion. I have found kits of Gearing class Destroyers in their WWII kit and one in a FRAM I conversion. Does anyone know of a kit of a Gearing class in the FRAM II conversion. I want to build a model of the Kennedy for my brother’s grandson. I am an armor modeler with only a couple of ship kits to my credit so I don’t feel comfortable scratch building a whole lot of a ship. Any advice, suggestions would be most appreciated.
