Vallejo Metal Color question

G’day all
I recently came across these packs & was curious.
Anyone familiar with the range? Are they water-based acrylics, alcohol-based acrylics or true (hot) lacquers?
I read a few reviews where they have been airbrushed which doesn’t really work for me right now as that gear is still packed away, but am curious if they can be old school brushed.
Cheers

These are water based acrylics and I’ve been using them for years. They brush and airbrush nicely. They tend to be quite thin as paints go so they can be a little difficult to control on the brush so I tend to have a paper towel handy ready to take any excess off. find they don’t need to be thinned.

One thing I find that makes them work real well is to ensure that whatever you are painting is first given a coat of satin black paint.

Correct, water based:

That’s an excellent suggestion Karl. I have a set of modern 120mm ammo colors from them and they are very thin paints. I shook the bottles very thoroughly as well but I always put down two coats which seems to give good coverage. They work great.
