I’m a bit confused by the crew goggles. Is it normal to have those standalone (tan) goggles used when their actual helmets have a built in visor?
The googles could have colored glasses but they provided dust and wind protection, the helmet visor would only provide sun protection.
Looks like two figures would be CH-53E crew members based on the last photo patch and background. The stand-alone figure could be a venom pilot. Not sure if the UH-1 and CH-53 door gunners would be decked out the same. Different airframes and squadrons might have different SOP for the same job title door gunner.
Goggles are worn to protect against dust. I would rather see them in in-action, or at least in position poses though instead of standing around.
