Vietnam-Era M59 Armored Personnel Carrier | Armorama™

Update:
I found the current review of the D-7 this morning and realized that I did not follow through with images of the completed M59 from Hobby Link. Completed in May earlier this year. Although the printed tracks appeared OK, the producer suggested using AFV Club M41 tracks as a substitute, which I did. Lots of duplicate parts are included in the M59 kit, I’m sure to allow for those “Oooops” moments, but I made it through with lots of leftovers. Decals are not the best in the HL kits I’ve built, and having a dedicated decal producer would greatly enhance the completed model. I ended up cutting slices out of the interior engine bays, allowing me to use small bar clamps when fixing the hull upper to lower; this permitted me to epoxy the joints which, coupled with the clamps, pretty much straightened out the hull side warpage.
I’ll continue to monitor HL offerings, as they do appeal to the “motor pool” builders of trailers, support vehicles, etc.
