I had thought a few times about redoing my old Jetta in tri-color camo.
Excellent idea!
Go for it!
We need a photo of the rear side of this one!

Coffee! I was looking for Margaritas!
Ken
not even Irish Coffee …
Only if it has Tequila in it!

Just so you all know, you can’t build that coffee trailer exactly with this kit, but you could build a later version (Body is a 72’-79’).
If someone was considering it.
Might work. I haven’t worked up the courage yet to cut up any of my kits like that but if you are up to it. If the parts are similarly laid out you might be able to just switch bodies.
I do have a resin set to convert a single-cab pickup into a Doka so I do need some practice however.
The biggest problem I see is the A pillar, and blending in the area where the front wheel well was. I wouldn’t even attempt to copy it though. It’s been done already. Now a street taco stand - maybe even from one produced in Mexico…
Are these colours in the AK line?
Flat black, gloss black, rubber black and NATO black I get, but Long Black?
Hmmm. And Hmmmm?
Oh, and Piccolo… is that an orange hue?
Perspective is also wonky. The small window to the left of the windshield looks like it’s facing forwards instead of on the side.
.Headlights are also crooked, and the “VW” emblem has too many red parts to the “V”. And the roofrack has a support missing on the front driver side. I suppose I could go on, but it’s getting quite fatiguing, and it’s past my nap time!
AI Picasso
Et voilà… AI is here to add more suck to our world.
It’s all because of lack of understanding… No matter human or AI, lack of understanding makes everything worse…
Just like Jimi Hendix said (Bleeding hart).
I don’t know if you are aware of this, but this type of bus was built in South America into the first years of the XXI century. In 2003 I was working in Wolfsburg and everyday I was taking a walk with my colleagues to get some lunch. Our route took us by the plant of a company called VW Individual - an official, in-house VW customizer. And in 2003 they took a batch of the last T2s made, and they were selling them to european customers. That took some work - like fitting them with ABS brakes (mandatory equipment). But I guess they sold at leas about 50 of them.
Yes, I mentioned the South American factories in one of my posts above. I have seen a few. Here’s one:
As you can see it blends elements of Splits and Bays by having the front clip and rear quarter panels of a Bay and the side and rear windows plus dual cargo doors of a Split.
That last set of buses did indeed end up mostly in European hands with the limited numbers and at the cost they were asking for them. Can’t believe that was 21 years ago.
