Wacky repair using isolation foam and glue as putty

One of my 3D printed figure has some defect, but hard to putty around since it is one piece. I used construction foam and hobby glue. The glue eat off the foam, turn into a goo and then slowing harden, there I can sharp it a bit.

Has anyone ever do some wacky method like this before?
