Wattle fence 1/35?

Does anyone know of a maker of these? I thought I had seen something like this but I’m not finding anything with my (admittly meagre ability) searches…

you can make your own using cocktail sticks and lentghs of single ply wire woven between them.

Another alternative is buying a sushi rolling mat, cutting to required size then weathering the sticks to get the right look. That’s less a traditional wattle fence but could still work. The only model versions I found were H0 or 1/72 scale.

There’s lots of different types of sushi mat so I recommend the bamboo ones. There’s some that the sticks look like flattened strips that wouldn’t work. Photos to illustrate my suggestion.

Mmmmmmm sushi roll…..

I’ve got an idea for making one although I haven’t tried it yet. It’s to make the wattle fence lining German trenches. Take a scrap piece of 2 x 4, or 2 x 3 (doesn’t really matter) about 1’ long. Drill a series of holes about 1/2" apart, and about 1/2" deep to make a jig. Holes should be just big enough to accept a round type toothpick. Buy a broom, or brush, that is made of natural stuff, like straw (or whatever it is), and weave individual strands between the toothpicks and keep the weave tight. These fences should be the height of the trench - about 5 1/2 '. When finished run some white glue, or carpenter’s glue where the straw meets the toothpicks to hold it all together, When the glue is well dried, remove the wattle fence from the jig. It should still be flexible enough for curves. You can make further lengths from the same jig.
BTW, this is for 1/35 scale.

Thanks. Now to decide - should I use toothpicks, or cocktail sticks…

There are some available on 1:43 (model railway O gauge) which may work such as here:
