It would present a larger and slower target than a clay pigeon.
And like the clay pigeon, it wouldn’t shoot back. It takes both hands to control that jetback.

Yep, and when the Marine does draw a firearm, it’s a pistol. Whereas the opposition will be totting AK 47s. Never bring a pistol to an AK fight.
