Get her one of these:
Save you have to be divorced (or with no dependents)!
But that’s the price one has to pay perhaps…
I am merely a “civvie” and not a veteran, therefore, no military salute for you. But, I can freakin’ raise a glass high, mate! … Cheers! Prost! ¡Salud! Iwlij jachjaj and all them other languages of the universe!

Congratulations Johnny ! Best wishes for health and happiness!
Agree with you 100%
Luck to you, Starlight
Congrats to you on reaching this landmark milestone! Now go and build something
Phew! I saw the title and was bracing myself for bad news! I’d just been watching the “Warbird Workshop” episode about Richard Grace and hadn’t known of his untimely passing; that must have put me in a negative frame of mind…
Thank you for doing your part in allowing me to spend my years as a full-time civilian, unlike my father and grandfather who had theirs interrupted by Hitler and Kaiser Bill…
Best Fortune for the years ahead, may they be many and happy.
Regards,
M
Not the beginning of the end, or the end of the beginning. It’s the beginning of the rest of your life – plan, enjoy. And thank you.
Thank you Tim, Reynier, Zella, Carlos, Tom, Leo, Mike and Richard and Karl. .. all very appreciated
Johny,
I had a friend, who spent 35 years working for a big international conglomerate.Started from school bench, worked up through the ranks and went eventually to the top of local operations.
We met one day and he told me he decided to leave the company.Having spent his entire “concious” life there, his only concern was- is there life at all outside of the Company.
Met him again 3 months later and asked the question(Is there a life outside of X).He said-Yes, and what a wonderful life it is!!!
Congratulations for reaching the point, where you give your watch to someone else(You know you’ll never leave the Service).Enjoy what comes ahead and be happy!

Thanks Angel, and all very true, although my watch is over, and I know the guy I am handing over to will be a good replacement, I think a part of you will always be military … it gets ingrained into you, and I personally think thats a good thing. It was funny ignoring my usual 0600 alarm this morning, and then giving in after 5 minutes and getting up anyway … some habits may be hard to get out of haha.
Keep those habits, even if 0600 might be a bit excessive,
enjoy the luxury of getting up at 0700 …
It is way to easy to get lazy, sink into a couch, lose health
and pass away too early
Very true, activity is the key (and an alarm at 0700 sounds nice lol)
Yeah, keep the old (indoctrinated) habits!
Just don’t drive by heart because you’ll end up in front of Barracks!
Angel
PS. Sorry Robin,
Quick fingers/slow brain on my side.
Reply was meant to Johny’s post

Still true though
Must be nice to ignore the alarm clock and sleep in till 6. Haven’t used an alarm clock in years except for early flights/appointments which are few. The body just wakes me up for the day, today’s was 0455. On very rare occasions 6:30 is the latest I can sleep till. Animals provide the unnecessary motivation to get up, as 12 lbs well placed on the chest, 40 grit sand paper to the face and drool down the side of your neck prevents even most harden attempts to stay sleep.
See, now I told SWMBO to stop doing that to wake me up lol … now she just kicks me
Congratulations Johnny for your military career achievements! I’m sure you’re excited to know your time belongs to you now, you can do anything your heart desires any day of the week, stay busy though!
