Chess clock, very good !! We got one of them.
Next year i wanna count the time that i spend only with sanding …
Moving on with the M9 ACE (load for my MET and M870). I’ve left the tracks until now as I guess they are quite fragile to keep moving the model during build. No real problems, just a minor gripe re the sprue attachment to the parts-some of which are bigger/thicker than the actual part it holds.
Anyway, tracks are mostly built and should go on tomorrow. Then the blade assembly and decals/weathering.
After spending some time on some vehicles for my lumber yard diorama, I decided to get after making a radial arm saw:
I went on line and found some pictures of old Dewalt radial arm saws and worked on scratch building my own, and like the other builds for this project the parts are evergreen, remnant parts and old sprue material. With some paint I think this will do the trick -
Cheers

pre shading … its weekend kit but today i just started thinking of LR Figures on top of it, will be nice … ![]()
Pulled down a shelf queen that I overloaded myself with by buying aftermarket bits and pieces and some figures for half thought out diarama theme. Sat looking at it, thing is I’m completing a P51 Mustang and want to join a group build just starting. This Scammel will have to be the next in line.
If you’re not working on at least five kits at once you’re not meeting your potential. ![]()
Your VAB looks fabulous Johnathan @sgtchuck, hmmm, a fab VAB, cool . . . honestly after seeing one recently posted on TL I wasn’t expecting such a nice looking build, yessir, nice!

Thank you for your compliments
New project, the Swedish Saab J29 as used by the Swedish UN forces during the Congo crisis in early 196*.
Old Heller kit, nearly empty cockpit so added some freestyle detailing, added rocket ordnance that I had left over from my Fireflies… added a good bit of lead to avoid tailsitting…
It is a little like ping pong, one day the dutch AVLB is in focus, the other day the SPAAG /DCA
Both are coming around to the build finish soon

Calling it bed time, I still have family for the holidays they leave on the sixth just in time for me to return to work. I have been cheeky and been in my man cave for a spot of spraying. Fortunately I have a handy tray to take back to the living room where I can hand paint and not be a party pooper.
Working on four different crews. Finished with the torsos except for the hands and a wash. Next up are the heads, which are in their base flesh currently. Everything is hand-painted except the uniforms, which were airbrushed.
Front group is Dragon’s Stug crew, behind that is Trumpeter’s Karl-Gerat crew, then Dragon’s Leopold crew. The five to the right are Dragon’s sFH18 gun crew, which are the same as the Leopold crew except for one figure and judicious use of the extra heads and arms included.
