What did you do in your modeling workshop today?

It was for the “RougePilot”, the all-over picture of his models. I would like to see some pictures of the fw190

Yesterday I build nearly 100 parts in the model, the progress is not really to see. Maybe the steps today are to see

Have a nice day :v:

It was my first fully completed model. It has the features of a first model. Many mistakes, but I still like it.
Here are some decent photos I took of the model:

Making progress on the upper hull, best part of the kit so far.

Thank you for that. I’m sure in the most models you can find mistakes, in mine for sure. But every mistake makes you better next time✌

Sorry. My mistake.

Almost done with the Bergepanzer III. Just need to do some paint touchups and add a few minor weathering effects and she’ll be done until I decide if I want to put it on a simple base or a mini diorama.

What is it ? I’m guessing a Leopard Tank ? It looks pretty good to me. And that’s alot of work. Keep it up.

Thank you, It’s turning into a fun build.

The model is a World War 2 German Panzer IV ausf F. The Pz IV was nicknamed the “Workhorse”. It’s very distant old relative of the modern German tanks.

The upper hull is state of the art and will literally assemble itself if you blink. wink

Added texture.

I modified the mid and rear Schuerzen brackets for the turet:

Border gives you Ni-Werke brackets and Schurzen, whereas I’m building a VOMAG vehicle.Used the built MiniArt “Bulgarian Maybach” as a refference for dimensions of styrene inserts.

Cheers,
Angel

Which kit is that

Tamiya #35374
1/35 Panzer IV F

Oh, retro. I remember this kit from the 1980’s

No, #35374 is a new kit released in 2020 with some parts (wheels & suspension) from 1994.

It’s NOT the old Tamiya #35096
Panzer IV D kit from the 1970’s. shown below.

Both are short gun Pz IV’s but they are very different kits sharing no parts in common.

One of the differences
The old:

The new:

The rubber band tracks are gone, now we get this instead.

Link-&-length tracks with molded in track sag, see part #36 and the
template for track assembly.

Not the same millenium …

Good day so far. I got out of school early today (and so it will be for the next two weeks), so i was able to head down to Hobby Town to buy some stuff. I had a list in mind, and walked out with one item less than the list. I got some CA glue, flocking/Woodland Scenics turf (for bushes), clear flat spary varnish and brown spray paint, and some puzzle glue for my sister.

It’s nice to have a model-shop in your city, in hannover, germany, there are just some small shops, they have to order the most things I like to get, so I changed to Modellbau König, a really good shop. They have a really big offer and they are really fast. Most time it tooks 2 days from order to have it at home. I liked shops to watch more then internet-stores, but today you ( I ) often had no choice

It is indeed nice, especially when you want to look at sizes and hold things in your hands. They also serve as hubs for community and local shows. This shop actually moved closer to where I live in the past year or so. Before, it was technically in the next city over, so it was longer drive. Now it is maybe 5-10 minutes away by car.

I live about an hour from the largest HobbyTown in the U.S.

I built the older version. It goes together nicely.
