56 horses! You must be constructing an army of cavalrymen.
More painting of the Shokakau air group, specifically the canopies. I dropped one of the Zeros. When I found it, I also found a triple 25mm that flew away 2 weeks ago. Carpet monster 846392745 and me one
Fun today reviving a bottle of vintage Floquil Weathered Black purchased in a big lot of vintage paint years ago. Bad cap seal so thick clumps of rubbery pigment remained.
After the xylol & Badger battery powered stir worked their magic used a pipette to transfer to paint filter and drip into a good bottle.
The filter caught a lot of nasty clumps.
One like new bottle of revived paint thinned and ready to airbrush.
Dregs from original bottle.
Anyway, one spray session with zero issues, two Weathered Black tanks.
Pretty happy with the result.
To remove the items , I keep them in their packaging , with a small snip in the corner , and use the snips through the packet , the ones open have had large items removed, then back in packaging for the small items later.
Not lost anything in last 3 years.
Please please please, may I suggest a title?
Here goes: Getting loaded.
Yes, the title is appropriate.
Indeed I was thinking to name it βunload shelfβ because the goal behind it was to use some of the kits and spare parts sitting in my shelf.
Was the goal achieved? Not really, you know how this hobby goes: for one kit leaving the shelf there is at least another one entering.
I have a bag of unused parts in 1:35, and I still havenβt used many of themβ¦ I intend to save lots of the items for cases where I need cargo or other kinds of things on the vehicles.
We are getting new floors so I need to clean out the hobby room. I have moved 50 kits to the garage and it doesnβt look I did anything. I could be in a world of trouble with this project.
If itβs in the garage, itβs a garage SALE.

Laid a second coat of MM Sand on the hull and built the suspension on my M577.
Nearly finished the replumbed exhaust on my M108 (gas engine so no vertical stack). Learned the pitfalls of using filler.
Researched and got some great help from members re CARC tan now that MM are out of it, ordered Tamiya and Humbrol, pondering AK for this too.
SMS paints out of Australia make a CARC tan and itβs made to be ready out of the bottle I have a bottle just havenβt cracked it open yet.
