What the postman brought today (AeroScale)

I believe ICM are releasing a Beaufort in 1/48 shortly if they haven’t already .

Richard now you mention it I do seem to remember something being posted in the news a while ago.

My daughter needed to make a model for part of patch program and then her and wife talked making it family competition, so I did what any loving father and husband would do, bought more models to make that happen. :joy:

The wife will say I was only joking, which is fine as I will have another Wildcat. :sunglasses:

Well postie has been busy again with some Birthday presents I bought myself.

Very nice hauls, Luciano! Maybe you’re doing something Pacific now … ?

Today postie came around with the latest “Luftwaffe im Focus” edition. It’s always a highlight to get these well researched magazines. I have them all since Edition 10. With 3 editions per year you know for how long I collect them …
The pilot shown is Walter Nowotny.

More great stuff guys!

@Littorio, it looks like you’re ready to start the Pacific Theater with all of your latest scores!

So the past 48 hours has been good to my stash…

Yesterday this eBay purchase arrived in the mail

It’s slightly started, but very nicely so I must say.

Then at Phoenix IPMS, it was swap meet time. My first score was awesome… I know it’s armor, but it is aircraft related
This baby usually sell for way over $100, the seller was asking substantially less…

Then I open it up later on and what do I find inside? This lovely batch of decals! With markings in 1/72 and 1/48 for multiple types: F-105, F-4, A-4, A-6, and A-7! Seeing as how I don’t build in 1/72, I’ll be getting rid of those markings…

Then I found this dinosaur… seeing as how Kitty Hawk just went flat line, this is probably the only way that I’ll be able to get myself a 1/48 RF-101A/C. Modeling skills required. I haven’t done a vacuform in about 40 years…

Then I also picked up a partial Hasegawa 1/48 US Bombs set. I always need more Rockeyes and Napalm, which it did have. Along with the Mk. 83’s and Mk.84’s…. too bad the Snakeyes were gone… not worth taking a photo though…

That’s all for now…

Nice haul of stuff there.
Would love to build a Voodoo at 1/48, but that jetsbig enough at 1/72 for me!

Speaking of which @Stikpusher , what 1/72 decals are in the that set? I have a big interest in Vietnam and WW aircraft. If you’re looking to move to move them on, they’d go to a good home if you can be post to UK.

Stephen

This is what aircraft are on the sheet. As you can see on the link, they did markings for each aircraft in 1/72 and 1/48.

Looks like a good set. What would you want for them?

Let me think on that a bit. I presume that you’re located in the UK? Do you happen to have any 1/48 aircraft or 1/35 armor decals for trade?

Yes in the UK. As for trade, nothing really 1/48 I can think of. Not sure about any armour sheets either, I’d have to look in my stash. I mostly stick to 1/72 these days. Currently on holiday at the moment and away from it all, but can look when I get back.

I have to add that the instructions, color & markings guide, and stencil guide are all nice and large. This is especially good for those of us with failing eyesight!

Hi,

Sorry for the late answer, I was on holiday and couldn’t check what’s in the box…

Hi all

An exciting bundle arrived in the post today, courtesy of Andy who forwarded everything from Eduard:

The big one! - the new Spitfire Mk.V Dual Combo:

Plus a tasty Brassin engine for one of them:

A welcome return of an old friend in a new form (I’ll have to refer back to my build along with Jean-Luc years ago for the minor corrections that I made to this beauty):

And, finally, some detailed Brassin rockets to hang under the wings of my Special Hobby Tempest Mk. II - stalled, but definitely not forgotten!

Full reviews of everything soon.

All the best

Rowan

Merlin,

Do you know if any of the parts in the Mirage Photo etch set Part S48-105 1/48 PZL P.11c will work on this kit?
I have that set and a Resin engine and a few other extras.
Just debating which kit to purchase.
I really like the looks of this kit.

BTW the only P11 I have now is the LTD :sob:

Thanks
Jeff D

BTW, I haven’t been on since they changed all the sites here…
Been traveling for 2+ years…

I used to be BoiseBlade…
