I haven’t confirmed if it is the longest 1/72 aircraft kit box I have, but it is in the running. The box measures 17 5/8" long.
It’s with Dragon parts plus masks and maybe other decals. Looks decent enough and the price was right, even with customs and postman’s fee… (> Brexit)

Cheers Peter
I’ve been thinking of getting one of those myself Peter. Does it include any canopy masks? I got their F-4D not long back (reboxed Hasegawa) and it had a set of canopy masks in the box.
I had a large parcel arrive from TheWorks this afternoon (UK members will know who I’m talking about), with the Airfix Wimpy and Shackleton. They quite regularly get Airfix and sometimes Revell in stock at reduced prices, so always worth keeping an eye out. I think both of these sold out very quickly.
Only had a quick look in the boxes but they both seem really nice kits. The Shackleton is massive!
All the way from Scotland across the pond -
Accurate Armour Thompson fueler for the Lysander project …
…and from Sprue Bro’s …
Love these beautiful little resin kits from AA .
The last part of my Amazon order came today.
First part of an order arrived, all the rest are also related to the New Guinea and Solomon’s campaigns, kits, decals and books.
Hello friend! Our mailman brought my latest purchase over the past couple of days…… an Eduard La-7 to replace my old one that did not make the move from CA to AZ.
That’s all for now…
Part two of my New Guinea and Solomon’s order arrived, still awaiting a couple of books and some eBay wins.
All of Roy Sutherland’s resin goodies for the upcoming Tempest kit - ha - with shipping about the same $ as the kit !
Great to see a little Aussie flavour in the soup there Luciano! What a nice collection to add to the stash.
Cheers, D
D, you’ll like this addition then as my ebay win came through.
Together with these
I’ve been interested in the New Guinea and Solomon’s campaigns for years but never built any of the aircraft. I did at one time several years back contemplate building a selection of the aircraft involved in the Battle of the Bismarck Sea in 1/48 but some of the issue was finding the correct markings, I do have some P-38, P-39, P-400 and B-25 for that.
To do them in 1/72 is much easier and takes up less room, a good thing for me. I just need to do research on the Japanese aircraft involved and finding correct markings for them.
Just watched a documentary on the Kokoda Trail, wow.
That’s quite a haul you’ve made in the past days, Luciano!
When do think, you will have finished all these kits?
Torsten at my current build rate I’d say about 2050.
I’ll be 86 by then, should be fine for me …
Yesssss! Love that DAP Beaufort! It would be great to do one in 1/48.
2050, I will be 83, still going strong for sure
Cheers, D
Ha D - I didn’t realize you and Torsten are just kids .
In 2050 I’ll be 97 ! Now respect your elders boys …
Now your talking a 1/48 Beaufort one can only dream
Well in 2050 I’ll be 81.
Oh I already have a few Hasegawa B-25’s in the stash that have been there for years but need to search out conversions for the Airfix Beaufighter for 30Sqd RAAF - I think something Red Roo possible do.
