Yep, that’s the one I thought about. It’s his most well known machine, I guess. Have built the same in 1/48 from the old Academy kit.
A couple of new additions.
First, a Hasegawa Aichi Jake with catapult. Should make for an interesting display piece.
And KP’s Cessna Skywagon. Will be planning on doing it in the Australian colours. From what I’ve found around the internet they were used in a similar role to the US O-1 in Vietnam. KP even provides a pair of rockets.
Ahhh… catapult float planes!

Had a good look at the parts and instructions and I think the catapult is going to be, erm interesting to put together. Top and bottom parts have warped from being crammed into the box. Should be well worth it in the end though.
Could tell us, your experience o it waS ?

Why hasn’t Tamigawa come up with a 1/48 Jake ?
Maybe Wingsy or now Eduard will step up to the plate .
Id like to see one of these in 1/32.
Miniart did a nice job with the detail on this kit . Looking forward to building this one . Sprues have been washed and are drying . Will be using Migs new Atom paint , really impressed with the Atom paint .
Have fun with it! it’s one of the best looking fighters from WW2, imho.
Nutritionist: “Michael, I’m putting you on a strict seafood diet.”
Me: Okay, “I see food and I eat it.”
Nutritionist: “No.”
Me: “Okay, I seaplane and I buy it.”
Nutritionist: “No. That’s a floatplane.”
Me: “I guess my diet just went to hell.”…

I had these two arrive today. Always been interested in the Grumman Duck after watching the movie “Murphy’s War” back in my high school days.
Wasn’t thinking straight and posted this is the Armorama section, so thought I’d repost here.
