Gotta love a LAV! I have an Australian version in the stash, with a load of Voyager upgrades, all given to me by a mate. That’s what mates are for!

Thank you for the recommendation! That brand does not appear in any of the online hobby stores I frequent.

Is a mom n pop outfit out of Illinois. They offer a lot of options for tracks used on Shermans and derivatives.

Both new as well as worn pads; even offer “skeleton” tracks for anyone wanting to build a damaged or destroyed Sherman with burned out tracks. Oh; and they also offer Duckbill cleats for winter vehicles as well.

Returned today from my son’s wedding, somewhat wearied, to find that Phase 2 of my cunning plan had arrived (see around 27 posts back if you’re really bored); as I said earlier, not really cunning just a small diorama depicting the Inner German Border (IGB) for which these constituent parts are essential:

I should just explain a little further as I’m not trying to be mysterious, I’ll be after this effect although some distances will, inevitably, be compressed:

I appreciate that, as a project, this really requires a separate topic and I’ll get on to that in due course.

Thank you.

An awesome built of this conversion can be seen here:

Hi Marco, Sorry for the delay in answering, but I have been on a volunteer project for the past week and too exhausted to reply. I just want to find the book a good home and your home sounds like it is wonderful for a book. I would just send you the book with no return asked. My major interests lie elsewhere, but I have visited the Antietam battlefield park and I have cousins who live nearby, so it has been a place of ancillary interest for me. I don’t know how to private message on this site so that you can send me your address. If you know how, please message me and I will get the book in the mail to you.

Well, when @Armor_Buff Wade Buff (I already knew this) recommends something, you’d better listen. He has multiple decades of experience, has tried nearly every product and tool out there, and knows what he’s talking about. He is a true modeling Sage. I’m no slouch, either.
So when he appeared with a new unique tool https://www.amazon.com/LabGenius-MI0101001-Mini-Vortex-Mixer-Clear/dp/B01CLLBZ6S/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3IHGR86HHUPQU&keywords=vortex+mixer&qid=1694464686&sprefix=vortex%2Caps%2C110&sr=8-4&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.f5122f16-c3e8-4386-bf32-63e904010ad0
The Lab Genius Mini Vortex Mixer and gave it rave reviews I knew I had to have one. Arthritis has set in hard in my wrists from 55 years of shaking paint bottles and I need some help. The mixer arrived the other day and I put it through it’s paces. First, this is not some light plastic Chinese wannabe. This weighs about 5 pounds and stays where you put it. It is a very highly crafted lab instrument and is made for constant work.

Just press the bottle to the top and the mixer begins it’s magic. 15 seconds on AK RC and Tamiya and 30-45 seconds on Vallejo Model Color. Perfectly blended.

What a relief on my wrists and Carpal Tunnel and has made painting easier again. Thank you Wade for finding this laboratory Grade instrument and sharing. I hope a lot more guys get them and save themselves years of senseless, permanent pain in the future. It is $105, but every penny well spent to avoid crippled wrists in your future. Heed my warning and happy modeling!

Don’t know the real differences but I got this one at 1/2 the cost and seems to work for me.

‘What will it be Sir?’
‘Dry Martini, Vortex mixed. Not stirred or shaken.’

That’s the same one I have per your recommendation a while back. … Happier than a pig in shaken sh*t! :pig:

See the bottle of paint, shake the bottle of paint. Do not pass GO until said bottle of paint has been shaken.:tornado:

That’s okay, I think, there is no duty to answer as fast as possible, it’s okay to do it when you find the time for it.
I don’t know too how to send a pm but I will find out and do it

My buddy won this kit in a raffle at a show this weekend. He doesn’t build armor so he handed it to me. Stoked!

Matt, it’s great to hear the vortex mixer delivered!

I’m very spoiled using it. Especially on Vallejo as you mention. The VM’s are definately wrist savers.

You lucky SOB!

So! What will it be? OOB German? IDF?

Actually I was thinking about “Rat-Fink-ing” it using the Gasser or Digger figure :bulb:
