What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Got a small shipment from the DSPIAE tool store. Grinding tips and sanding pads for the ES-P cordless grinder, a Flex-I-File type tool, 3 aluminum sanding boards, and a cover for my ZM nippers.

In all honesty the Jackson was a gift but the rest came from Scale Reproductions in Louisville.
(Highly Recommended!)

Trying to get the modeling mo-jo going again.

Took a pilgrimage to the LHS yesterday, about an hour away, with a buddy of mine from the model club. HQ Hobbies, if you’re ever in Connecticut it’s worth a stop.

I just went in for paint. I swear. But you already know what happened…

The “God’s Blessing” kit really spoke to me. It’s a scene I lived through many times in the Army. Now I just have to get good at painting figures!
Oh yes, and I got the paint.

Reminds me of a scene from the 1949 movie “Battleground”
Enjoy the build!

It took so long for the eBay seller to ship this, I’d forgotten I’d bought it.

Both look perfect.Does the kit include the cross cover on the jeep?

I’m sure you’ll enjoy the G2, that was the second kit I built when I returned to the hobby during lockdown and it makes a very nice, if challenging project.

Watto.

No, it doesn’t. But those are easy to make on the printer. It does include the chalice, cross, and candles, though.

It looks like a brilliant kit OOB. I look forward to building it.

The most exciting thing for me in a while…

I took a peek at the road wheels, just to see how prominent the seam was, and I was pleased to find that Takom molded the seam on the edge of the wheel instead of the center. The figures and the stowage in the kits looks very nice and organic. The zimmerit also looks pretty good, with nice bumps, divots, and flakes. I’ll probably buy AM tracks for it though.
