Thanks Steve and Mead! That helps. The Leo looks stunning, Mead!
Thanks! I got to get back to it one of these days and weather it!
I think technically Canadian leopard 1’s were delivered in carc green. But with weathering (and boy did the ones in Afghanistan get dirty) nato green is close enough
You telling me that tank was green? Coulda fooled me!
Now that is my guide for weathering!
I know right! And this one is relatively “clean”!
It is how I plan to weather mine! The one time I have proof when some one says that is way too much!
Mead, I know just how you feel! I always recall how filthy our Land Rovers used to get after just a few hours out on the training area, let alone AFVs.
I always use my lad’s Chally 2 from way back when as a guide (pretty similar to the pic above):
Let Tamiya Buff be your friend!
That’s an impressive collection of mud with tracks…
Secured this small stash of goodies from fleBay.
A sheet of King Tiger decals I was searching for my Meng King Tiger - My plans is to build the kit as the KT 332 currently at Ft. Moore, which was captured from the 501st Heavy Panzer during the Battle of the Bulge.
Camo Mask for a Ryefield M1A2 Abrams SEP v2 I have in the stash. I want to build it as one of our stateside vehicles.
Some Tankograd books for reference.
FInally a 3D printed upgrade set from Passion Models for my Tamiya PzIV G build.
A recent Australian Armor and Artillery Museum video is an unintended reference — walking through the vehicles cataloging the repairs that they need, you also get an excellent view of what happens to tracks as they weather.
Care package from Sprue Brothers arrived today to help wrap the current build.
I really like Tamiya’s Laquer paints thinned with Mr.Color Leveling Thinner. Slowly building an inventory of Tamiya Lacquers.
Original sealed kit from 1978 , opened it yesterday for the first time.
I got two of theme, each kit has one jet engine without the case in it, which i can use very good for a science fiction model.
I love the way the box announces “Molded in green”!
It’s not a bad kit. Probably not for a beginner but you shouldn’t have any issues. I need to finish mine.
Well, I don’t consider myself and expert, but am certainly not a beginner!
But thanks for the warning
