What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Good thing there was some more context, I had a your momma joke ready to fly.

HD does have/had a Fat Boy model but never heard the WLA called fat.

Sounds like anything wider than a bicycle requires a helmet so than yeah it’s a fat bike.

The problem overhere is that there are a lot of teenagers riding on those fatbikes. They basically electrical bicylces that have balloon tyres like this one:

They are easily manipulated in being able to go faster than 25 km/h. And with faster I mean speeds up to and beyond 40 km/h. This causes a lot of issues with traffic safety…

Around my area the delivery guys have them,
and yes, restrictions removed including lights to make the range longer, awaiting the crashes, almost had two myself with them.

Piano wire between two posts perhaps? At the requisite height?

Leave that for the police. I prefer splat on the floor with tyre marks.

Just last week in my city an a-hole slammed into some parked cars doing 40 kph and ended up in critical care. Can’t fix stupid.

E-scooters are becoming a problem as well. A-hole punk kids forcing people off sidewalks, ignoring traffic signals, etc. There is never a police presence around when you need one.

My personal opinion, anything that has a electric motor or ICE and can propel a vehicle over 10 kph should be regulated by licensing.

The police in the Swedish town Linköping busted a guy back in 2018 for speeding when riding an electric bike, the type that looks like a normal bicycle, the hubs are a bit large to accomodate the motor.
The police measured him doing 98 km/h (61 mph), that dude was hauling ass …

Heh, when I was young and invincible, I pedaled my 10-speed all over the German Alps and I was up in the upper 40mph range on some hills. Of course, I was in the best shape of my life and it was a Peugeot racing bike that I had Willi Singer Radsport breathe on a tiny bit - but the only motors were me and gravity.

A lot of people around here who have lost their license drive those bicycles with the small gas motors. They hop them up and can go up to 40 mph. The only way they can stop is with those little rubber pad brakes. Good luck with that, wrecks all the time and they run right thru traffic. Wayne

One Buffalo, Two Buffalo…

Before anyone asks, these are not the same kit. Both are excellent, with photoetch, 3D printed wheels and marking options for US and French machines.

Reference for current Iguana builds (both 14 and 28 meter).

My Leopard 2A6 books just came in. Now I’ll be able to do some reading in order to build the kit on my stash.

Some recent additions to my stash:

From Aliexpress- a needle holder and a holder/vise:

Both helped a lot when superdetailing and painting the ZIL-130 engine,

From Four Star Miniatures a 3D printed TMM-3 bridge section:

Parts are too sticky/shiny so I will have to wash them with IPA…
Will use the bridge with a KrAZ- either with a 214, or with a 255B, or with a 260,

The birthday present from my modelling buddies- a SURN radar for KUB/Quadrant battery:

Cheers,
Angel
