I used them, but didnt use the wire, just a dot of CA did the trick.
Likewise, had a Booker on pre-order at Andy’s. The Booker had a friend tag along plus a long awaited reprobate.
The postman didn’t bring me anything today or yesterday, last week or this month.
Then again it’s Canada
Those are three really good ones.
I hear ya brother, me too.
I thought I heard the strike ended, should be back to the regular slow service in no time.
Nice thought, but according to CanPost it’ll take about a week to get the receiving/sorting/distribution system up and running. “It’s not like plugging a ‘fridge back in” he quipped.
The actual distribution of already-processed mail should start late this week. Then, as distribution makes room in their system, they can start to process the mail received and warehoused before the strike started
-one month ago.
Then, once this process is well underway, they can start to receive, process and ship the mail sitting in post offices around the world, awaiting shipment to Canada.
I’ve had four overseas packages stuck in the system, two with tracking numbers. The tracked ones have said the standard “The package is enroute to Canada” for a month. Surprise, surprise, one has already been updated, been released by Customs and is in transit.
If theyre mail, not courier they will join the rest of the backlog in the CP warehouse.
Hopefully for you they’re couried. (I could kick myself for choosing USPS-CP over courier for a HobbyLink shipment from Wanamaker, made in October), a Cat D7G, armoured cab for same, plus a fuel, shop and cargo trailers, Dammit!
Good news from Canada! I’m sure postal workers are somewhat happy to be back to getting a regular paycheque versus strike pay. Posties are guaranteed 9% payraise next bargaining agreement, which is better than getting kicked in the nuts with a frozen mukluk!
This arrived today from BNA. This was already on Canadian soil and customs cleared when the strike hit. I honestly wasn’t expecting to see it until next week, if.
Excellent news Barney, they also got an immediate $1000 payment, at all levels, towards their 5% overall pay increase.
That said, I dont think the current $70k a year (with seniority) is a bad wage .
Maybe my stuff from Wanamaker will make it for Christmas.
A modeling Christmas miracle.
Nope postie’s are NOT happy being ordered back to work. They only got a 5% raise and are not guaranteed a 9% raise next time around. there’s actually no guarantees at all.
Mixed bag of goodies today.
I will build the MT-LB in a competition with the new announced Zvezda kit.
This title arrived today from Pen & Sword Books, via Casemate Publishers, for me to read and review for them.
