I bought the HOZO Ultrasonic Knife a while back, It tends to melt sprue as fast as it cuts it. Please let us know how this on works out.

I have some FC Model R35 tracks to cut out of the supports. This will be a good test as the tracks themselves are small and delicate.

Got some goodies today.

Really impressed with the quality of Spalah and Black Snake prints.

Would you post some closeups of the prints ? The Spalah stuff especially. Did you order direct from them ?

I have read and heard a lot of about “How good the Miniart” kits are. So, I finally took the plunge and purchased their kits…and they are really good. A lot of plastic in them. Love it!!

DSPIAE Orbit Electric Hand Drill (follow-up)

[Re-posted from ‘AeroScale’]

I was hand-painting wheels today and as usual, I got outside the lines. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

For the heck of it, I chucked a wheel attached to a rod with Blu-Tak into the drill — freakin’ le voilà! … What was taking me about forty-five minutes (four wheels) was now tackled in about ten minutes tops.

The drill rotates at just the right rate of speed. With wheel turning, my paintbrush just conformed to the rim edge, even with a wobbly set-up.

Wow! I’ve never had wheels come out that clean! … Bonus feature: the “reverse button.”

Just had to share that.

I can’t take credit for the idea/technique, it’s been around forever. Just had to wait for the right tool with the right speed to land on my workbench.
