Hopefully this will be a good one. I bought a pin vise years ago, but I went the cheap route and always had trouble with it. It was a chore to get the bits put into it. The bits could fall down into the handle and then you would have to disassemble it to get them back out. It frustrated me one time too many, so I sacrificed it to the modeling gods…with extreme prejudice!!
This will be built as Holy Roller, one of 2 Sherman’s from the 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade that fought from D-Day to VE Day. My plan is to build it as it would have looked once landed on Normandy.
Finally, after what feels like forever, I have the final piece to start my King Cobra gun truck. I ordered the M54 3d set from Quinta Studios over 2 months ago since they were the only ones who had them in stock. I knew it would take a long time to get here from Russia, so I planned accordingly, but after 2 months lost in the mail system I gave up and asked for a refund and found that Sprue Brothers had restocked them since so I was able to reorder from them and get them in just a few days.
We just returned from our/my yearly trip to the Scale Model Challenge in Veldhoven.A great show where the emphasis lies on figures. Both in vendors and in competition. There were 280+ entries an the level is really breath taking!
Just a moderate sample (by one of the judges, so outside of the competition) . I believe this is in 1:350. Zoom in on the 2nd picture.
Well this was a surprise, last year I pre-ordered the AiP boxing of the 1/35 Academy Warrior MCV the kit was sent to my old address which wasn’t returned to them or no contact from the present occupiers. So the vender sent it out again to the correct address.
isn’t a direct package from the postman but these are my special pick-ups from SMC 2026! The show was, as always, an absolute blast—such an incredible atmosphere, fantastic models everywhere and like other shows I kept my shopping list a bit more and focused to afv acces…
