Decided to try turning a Tamiya T-55 into T-54 rather than deal with a MiniArt T-54.
A rare Bronco purchase for me picking up the KV-122 kit when it was on sale Sprue Brothers.

Nice! Was thinking of grabbing that 122 kit at some point. How does it look?
I don’t have the KV-122 but built the KV-85 and thought it was a great kit.
I was also looking at that one! I’ve gotten a bug for Russian armor lately, just ordered a T-34 and T-60
The individual track links on these kits are really a breeze. After I assembled them I tossed them over the chandelier in the foyer and swung from them - quite robust really.

Looks pretty good in the box.
Comes with an engine, nice PE screens and a few fiddle bits. I will probably pitch the tracks in the bin and use Sector35’s or Fruil’s despite the kit tracks looking OK.

I feel ya there. After my first set of metal tracks Indy tracks have become very undesirable.
My first bronco kit is really fun I think I’ll add more

Out of my usual wheelhouse but I’m a sucker for a good combo: BMP with interior (AEF Designs?) and assorted aftermarket. Im not likely to use the Verlinden Transfers or AA wheels if anyone is interested.

I lowered my stash from about 600 to approx 125. Still big enough that I have a phone number of a modelling buddy, in his 40’s, with the word “Modeler” next to his name…for when the wife has to go thru my phone, once I’ve gone to modelers’ heaven.

Added two Russian both screened spaced armor editions. The first is Miniart’s T-60 screened plant No.264 Stalingrad.
The second the thic T-34 spaced armor version trialed at kursk from border models. This kit looks awesome! This version looks menacing and it comes with a metal barrel and in a really nice wooden box I’ll use for storage when the kit is done

Sarcasm? Me and Bronco tracks have traditionally not gotten along at all so am interested if these are actually buildable?

Part of the reason the SU-152 tracks or the KV tracks worked so well is that they are very wide and so the pins are quite long, or at least I think that’s the case. I used the assembly jig and it went really quickly and the tracks really were workable and worked. I don’t think the same arrangement works as well on narrow tracks.
I used metal tracks on my bronco archer but from what I’ve read on PMMS the plastic tracks had to be glued. Probably similar to what you suggest in that small tracks don’t work as well

These arrived in the mail today from Hobbyeasy. Picked up both for $60Aud. Thinking my Dragon El Alamein sherman or a lee/grant would look good on the back. I also have Border Models Crusader which might work too depending on decal options.

This happens to me; I order something rare from China (not least as some stores offer pretty good deals less any postage) which I obviously cannot live without, all driven by the fury that accompanies a new project. It is then despatched - literally by a slow boat from (as opposed to) China - perhaps a traditional Junk even. It eventually arrives and I’ve even forgotten about it (which can be a nice surprise) or, the whole project is dead in the water as I’ve changed my mind! I’m left looking at a couple of kits I now have no idea what to do with.
