What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Leopardclub offers a conversion for the Leo-based Marksman: Leopard Workshop : LW045 - 1:35 scale Finnish Leopard 2 Marksman Self-propelled Anti-aircraft Gun

Was at the hobby store last night and this little guy followed me home.

One or two might find there way into the Bulgarian AHN build.

I had contemplated buying a Takom Chieftain Marksman, using the components from that with a Leopard hull to do this version. The Chieftain lower hull and running gear was going to be the donor for a Accurate Armour ARRV.

Scored myself a nice little haul from my partner, my family and myself for my birthday today. Also some great premium vintage wines in 1:1 :wine_glass:

The rest can go into some dioramas like these…

Great ideas. Playing around with two different barrels and figure.

Postman delivered yesterday. He usually doesn’t get here till around 4 PM. A very useful, excellently made, and highly recommended piece of kit. The Tankraft pro modeler scale ruler. Made like a triangular architect’s scale, with 1/16, 1/24, 1/32, 1/35, 1/48 and 1/72 scale gradients and made of anodized aluminum. A beautiful tool that will come in very handy. Available in imperial or metric, $21.95 from Tankraft.com .

No image. But I had the postman deliver on a Sunday morning! WOW. From BnA in Australia. AAA+ service.
New airgun with a Mac valve. Cheapy. But I don’t mind learning with a cheapy rather than destroying an expensive bit of kit. A HSeng HS-80. Plus a driver for my halftrack. Alpine. But I’m going to have to put him through some pain and operate on his legs. Or shift the pedals! Naah I’m into pain.

Oh man I remember building that ages ago. I may have to go chase that down for nostalgic purposes!

After yesterdays club meeting these kits followed me home.
With the re-release of the 7 t gl by Revell Germany, my MAN gl family is now up to 4 members (1 built) … I missed the first edition years ago, but they sure had no Eesti Kaitsevägi (Estonian Army) decals back then … But I’ll most likely build it as a Bundeswehr vehicle.

… and some Bundeswehr tankers. The 2 guys with the leather helmets can also be painted in the old yellow-olive “Panzerkombi” as I wore it in my time in the late 1980’s …

Christmas presents that I have no intention of wrapping or necessarily waiting until Christmas to open.

Grad is for the upcoming Africa campaign. Husky for the Trumpeter build and that bonkers looking T31 for Micro Machines.

A package for me from Australia showed up earlier than expected. All conversion sets.

Got a box from Russia and a box from Hong Kong today. The beginning of my Christmas presents to me. The box from Russia:

KAV Models masks and tints for my modern windowed vehicle models. These sets are real time savers and dirt cheap. Shipping is cheap and only about 2 weeks, too. Also a few sheets of digital camouflage masks. Available in 3 sizes. Can be purchased from https://i-modelist.com/ , a shop I have bought from many times and can recommend. Very trustworthy.
The Hong Kong box contained two kits. The new Trumpeter Mercedes L4500A flak truck

The truck is great with nice molding, crisp detail, and lots of parts. 3 decent sheets of PE to dress it out. Rubber tires that I have ordered resin replacements for. The Flak 37 is, meh. Detail is soft and it just looks clunky. Not 2021 at all. I have a Great Wall Flak 37 with PE and metal barrel that I will be replacing it with. The quality of that gun matches the truck.
The other kit I got is the newish Border Models Mobelwagen.

A quick check of the box contents reveals a beautiful kit but a little disappointment. The box states, " PE Parts Included" “Metal Parts Included” which led me to believe that Border included a metal barrel. They do not. Overall a good day’s haul though.

A man after my own heart. I’m a sucker for all things WW2 German carrying flak guns!

I’m more of a Cold War Bundeswehr buff nowadays… speaking of which…

Oh it was a fine trip to the mailbox yesterday!

First up was this beastie, which the “Eb” seller offered at a much lower price than it was listed for. Shipping was more than the cost of the kit. I guess since the Tamiya and AFV Club editions of this kit came out, this version is not as popular. Score!

Then this for one of the Academy Sheridans in my stash. I’ll be using the Operation Just Cause marking options.

Another SB daily grab.

Already had the Fug but not a T3. Win win for me. The rider will join my existing driver. The Bulgarian decals will be useful for future projects. Lost in the glare is a Quinta Gaz AA/AAA dash.

Replaced my worn-out compressor with a new one. Nothing fancy, just a very useful tool.

Good times at my front door lately. Another box from Hong Kong. This time the brand new RPG Scale Model kit of the Russian Typhoon-U MRAP Sagged Wheel Set Edition. As a bonus, in the kit box, you get a boxed set of RPG resin sagged wheels and a KAV Models window tint set with mirror inserts. I have never bought a RPG kit before but in the box, it’s a beauty. Lots of parts, fine detail, crisp molding, looks like good engineering. I hope it fits as good as it looks! Full interior. This is a really nice kit. I have ordered the Quinta interior 3D details set for it too.
