I’ve been looking into Aoshima kits for a little while now, and this brand is not cheap. What blows my mind, however, is the price of their older kits, with some trucks up in the $1000s.
I’m curious to know why! Are this brand’s kits absolutely amazing? Are those kits worth their prices?
They’re nice kits, to be sure. I’ve built a few of their 1/24 Hilux pickups. Not even those are worth $1000s - to me. However worth lies in how much someone is willing to pay for something.
Yes, i agree with your definition of worth. But even the recent kits are quite pricy, and since I don’t have a point of comparison, I want to be sure that I won’t be disappointed when I come to get one of their kits (pretty soon, that’s the plan).
The kit won’t disappoint. You wife might when she finds out what you spent.
