That wasn’t even an issue. I just found it as a funny “random dog moment”.

I was impressed on how bright it was even on a cloudy day. Cant imagine what its like on a sunny hot day.

Speaking of sunny hot days - you skirted Dona Anna. One of the worst places I’ve ever been. Not the town. The range complex in the middle of nowhere. No cell service, no A/C, no internet, and rabbits and rattlesnakes everywhere you looked. It sucked so bad there I volunteered to go to Iraq early.

Well, I’m glad that I missed it!

I just love it when my dog relieves himself in his yard, and then walking around the neighborhood he blesses a neighbor’s yard with an unexpected encore. I rarely leave the house without at least two little plastic baggies in my pocket. :see_no_evil::tired_face:

Dona Anna, the town itself looked like a junkyard along the road leading out of Las Cruces. One thing I remember was turning off the interstate to the highway that went over the mountain to White Sands, there was a place with a long rock wall that I think eventually led to a small restaurant. Otherwise all I remember were broken down dilapidated buildings and junk.

Which I still recall was nicer than El Paso. I left El Paso’s City limits at 1:53 p.m. on a glorious Sunday over a decade ago, and did not look back. I did not even glance in my rearview mirrors. That’s how I’d like to no longer remember my time in H’el Paso.

I always notice food, be it Ham’s name, or the tributes laid at his memorial.

I’ve been out to Trinity Site on a private tour for our unit when we were training at Dona Anna Range and had a few extra days. If you can do it, I highly recommend it. The PAO set it up and took about 15 of us out and gave a great tour at the site, the farmhouse that was the CP, and a few other areas around it. We had a great lunch at a roadhouse along the way too. It was an all-day trip. Trinity Site (rightly so) is almost 3 hours from main post.
