Thanks guys, thought so, but always good to get other opinions. I’ve been looking for different vehicles for VN back ground . Sorry, didn’t mean to hack your thread. Wayne
Don’t worry about hacking my thread. @namengr
Background vehicles in Vietnam is an amazing subject. And possibly worthy of a thread all on its own.
Here you can see a Mini type estate in the back ground of a film I was watching about the black market in Vietnam
Definitely agree ! I’ve got a few pics I can share if needed…

I can’t help you much on cars, as there was maybe just one up north. It was a 1967 Chevy sedan owned by the U.S. Government. There were lots of busses and Vespas.

This was a subject that I always thought was fascinating. During my time, late war you would see everything from old classics to modern chopper motorcycles! I saw a 45 Harley trike in Vung Tau and years later it was in one of the Time/ Life books. Wayne
Hope this link will be helpful, Vietnam Jeeps 1961 to 1975 on CJ3B.info
Many old WW2 Jeeps were rebuilt into pickups or little buses when incivilian use, not as gaudy as the Jeepneys seen in the Philippines but with a lot of local flavour too.
