WIP: 1/32 Hasegawa Me-262 “Green 1”

OK, here goes! I’m getting out of my comfort zone a little! Gonna try an aircraft as kind of a palette cleanser!

I’ve got the Squadron Signal walkaround book, the Grand Phoenix cockpit, 3D printed R4M rockets and Eagle decals.

This is my first aircraft model since I was a teenager! Be gentle!

I had this kit decades ago… don’t know what happened to be honest.
Anyway, I’ll be following this one !

Step 1: The Gun Bay
The front and rear bulkheads are masked along with the guide holes for the guns and the edges of the deck.

I’m not too happy with the gun barrels so I might have to fashion some out of tubing.

Blast from the past! I don’t recall building this one although I built two of Revell’s 1/32 Me 262s. I’ll be watching.

Yeah, there are some areas where detail leaves something to be desired. Fortunately, I’ve got a second one that a friend of mine gave me after he started working on it; but got frustrated.

I wanted to have it ready for my club’s contest in September; but I’d rather take my time and get the details right so I can show these wing-nuts and rotor-heads what an armor guy can do.
