Took the name from Horizon Zero Dawn.
Lots of work still to do. Brick wall is from tamiyas brick wall set, lots of miniart kits being used in this build, scratch built dumpster, window frames are scratch built to go over the “glass windows”, LED red warning lights, some downtowndeco cast boxes and other bits from AK interactive and RT diorama. The vehicles are MENG toyota hilux heavy modified, Hobbyboss delta force FAV with added M240, radio set from AK interactive, Master Box Buggy Mongoose with modified roll cage and stowage basket. The power box is made from a tool box(?) from a jltv kit with an extra fuse box added onto it.
Got to build the roll up garage door, paint the asphalt, add in dead and dying grass in the cracks then add in all the various drums, barrels and various set dressing. Start running all the power lines and connections points plus the sat dish and sercuirty cameras. Then I can finally start figuring out all the various figures to use.
Nice start ![]()
Keep going man , lookin good !!!
Small update I got the AC unit on along with a vent. And worked on the roll up door I cut it a bit short so not sure if I want to leave it a bit open or add in small piece and then blend it in with the rest of the door to be closed. I’m not to worried about the bits of black paint on the grey on the ground it’ll mostly be hidden by tufts of dry grass and other items. The black pavement is just well black paint with some browns added into the recesses and a very light second black wash to blend it all in. Added in a lot of junk to fill the dumpster still got to add in some paper goods to it and then then the lid top which Im hoping to have a figure that can be posed holding it open while searching the bin. Then its on to electrical wiring, a sat dish and maybe some type of mounted antenna. Barrels and drums and bits and pieces this will be one busy dio thats for sure.
Home stretch for the diorama base got to wait til good weather shows up before painting the vehicles.
I got the electrical, satellite dish, security cameras, dumpster all finished built and installed. Cameras were made from sprue and pieces of left over PE. Next up are all the drums and barrels, then vehicles, figures and final set dressing.
Nice Rocky !!! Very realistic looking man , luv it !!!
Thank you, your work was direct inspiration for me after seeing your diorama work it’s beautiful work.
