It depends. Many, but not all Jeeps used truly in the Airborne mode had the windshield and/or grab handles removed, and had the bumpers cut down or removed to save space and weight in the aircraft. Here’s an example:

While these are Brits, same concept. Pioneer tools were removed along with their mount to keep the sides smooth for loading.

All of the kits will get you where you want to be, be making these mods can make yours more accurate, situation depending. It’ll also stand our more since not everyone is ware of or does these mods to their kits.

I ordered the Tamiya one, twice cheaper, but I will improve it with 3D printed and scratch details. I don’t need the Takom trailer and the detailed engine will not be shown, maybe I will build it too at some time :slightly_smiling_face:
