Hmmm…looks a lot like the ancient Airfix RAF control tower model from a hundred () years ago, with some additions.
 :canada:

You are right , The OO/HO kits is thing from the past but was just like the reel one you see on WWII picture !

When I was a kid (almost 100 yrs. ago ) you could buy one in the LHS for 0.59 $ (CAN 59 cents!!). A few years ago I bought one on ebay for over USD $40 - I’m not good at math, but that seems to be several thousand % increase!
BTW, if you want another one I’m prepared to sell mine at a loss (CAN $40), still unbuilt in box. We both live in Montreal area. :+1:
 :canada:

TTTTTTTTThose were the days …lol… Thanks for the offer but the one I have build is in 1/48 scale and the AIRFIX kit is about 1/72 , not my scale !

Airfix released one in 1/48, or 0 scale?
 :canada:

AIRFIX as done it in 1/72 (hi/00) scale only !. Mine is scratchbuilt in 1/48 !

Bravo!! :+1: :+1: :hugs:

No, the Airfix one is 1/76-72-ish scale
DJ Parkins Flightpath series has one in 1/48th Brass, pricey though.

“No, the Airfix one is 1/76-72-ish scale”. Yeah…I’ve known that for at least 60 years when I bought one (not the current one!) Airfix’s structures were HO/OO, although since HO is 1/87 (some releases labeled the kit as “HO/OO”, and some as “1/87”), those buildings might have been a little large. I was asking a rhetorical question - did Airfix release some 1/48 I was not aware of?
 :canada:

Understood. Airfix have not released this in any other scale.

The only 1/48th offering is the DJ Parkins Flightline range.

One long term project i have been working on are from plans ive enlarged from the RAF Grimsby page on the Airfix tribute forum

LINCOLN Lanc has measured many buildings & drawn dozens of them, available as 1/76th drawings.

Next on the bench, from his drawings is a very necessary Latrine Block!
