YPR 765 and M113 in KMAR colours

Have started last week on a new project, like the title says a YPR 567 and a M113 in KMAr outfit, KMAR is the Dutch Royal Militairy Police.
Their duty is not strictly prohibited to militairy police, they are also the guys youll see at the Dutch airports checking your passports, and assisting the Dutch riot police force…
Found these great pictures online, is kind of what I will try to do…

This started with only the YPR, but that has the wrong turret…

So I opened up the Tamiya M113 ACAV beause that has a turret that looks a lot more like how it should be…
m113
Got a decal set …

ordered some stuff from Silly’s mini models

and a set that has stairs that look like I can use…

As I started I noticed the M113 had a nice interior set, wanted to use that in the YPR, fits great, just have to adjust a few bits because the sides of the YPR are sloped, but you don’t notice that afterwards…

Also got a driver, again from Silly models…

As I said, one the M113 was opened, and I found some pictures of that in KMAR service as well, decided to build both…
Also got two more figures in real KMAR outfit, again from Silly models…

Added the dozer blade to the M113, awaiting another dozer blade for the YPR as well as the other set…

Nice job so far. The blue M113 was the first M113 I saw in real, on Schiphol Airport

Cool project Bert. I’d be interested to see how they replicate the metal grating on the hull top…

A unique project for sure. Also, thanks for sharing the Silly’s mini model link as I have never heard of them before. They have some interesting items.

Added some parts to the M113, hydrailcs, smoke grenade launchers, wire cutters…

Also been busy with the stairs…

And made a pair of searchlights for them from parts of the sparebox…

And the second dozer has arrived…

Looking great. I really like the blue color. A pointer, and it may be too late, but the internal fuel tank shouldn’t be there. The two poturusions on teh rear are teh fuel tanks. On teh inside, hard to see in pics, there are angled walls that close off teh front. You can sort of see it below.

This is how I did them on my in-progress YPR-765 PRI .50 APC.

Thanks! I noticed it to late indeed, eventhough I had this reference picture, you can see the benches are positioned differently from your picture.

These are both looking very cool Bert … the blue is really nice to see and having 2 very different types of tracked vehicles built this way is something different :+1:

Thanks guys! Must say I really like the colour but it is a terrible colour to work with… took a long time to get the AB cleaned aftdr this, the jar with cleaner looks like paint now…

No issue, that is what I figured. Most people won’t know the difference and will not notice with how good it looks.

Yes, the pic I showed is the 25mm turret version. Mine (APC) will have the same seat setup as yours.

This would be an interesting version to build; YPR-765 Driver’s Trainer.
