[ZIMI Model Official] Q&A, Chat with us!

You and I would have to agree to disagree on the Dragon M60 “Slick” kit’s quality. To me the biggest inaccuracy issues resided with the hull. Dragon seemed to have used its M48 hulls to redesign it. The overall length was about 3-4 mm short then the width was about 1.5 mm shorter than Tamiya, Takom, and AFV Club’s offerings, which made some of details squashed. I remember some details were completely wrong when comparing to reference photos. Yes, the gun shape/diameter was inaccurate, the overall length was inaccurate, too. The DS mantlet cover and cupola dust cover were not usable.
The suspensions were all wrong - modeled after M48 parts and not M60.
I was working on the project using many left-over Tamiya/Academy parts and adding my own 3D prints: M60 "Slick" in 1/35. Another Frankentank project - #64 by Petition2God

Takom hinted that it would come out with a “Slick” because all it needs is a new turret but that never materialized. Takom has produced all the other parts with their M48 and M60 series kits so I don’t know what’s holding them back.
Hopefully, Zimi will come to rescue but sounds doubtful.
