Every now and then, I also build castles on a smaller scale. Since I had a spare display case measuring 45 x 30 cm, I decided to build a side table with a castle and a bit of scenery. A small river would wind around a rocky outcrop on which a castle stands. A trade route would run on the other side, and a bit of forrest would be recreated on it.

Well, that gives a different twist to “Box Scale”…
I suppose the odd scale is the reason the diorama isn’t as thronged with life as your other builds, but then I’m often amazed by those who crew their 1:350th ships.
I also notice there are several chimneys, I presume these are later additions and would date the depiction to the early Renaissance despite the medieval architecture?

Oh come on Frank! This is just getting silly now! You’re creating historical masterpieces from any scale and just because you’ve got a spare bit of random sized space available?!?
Another impressive build mate!
