1/35 m1025

The vehicles had an insulation pad glued to the top that was black, but over time the adhesive would fall off.

Thanks everybody for the assistance! Got an update!

Few more questions…
What color are seat cushions? Instructions call for khaki but pictures show some kind of olive drab

Should i put the right stowage in the racks? Or can i make my own system up?

Last question… anybody wanna try to cad up the turret ring?

This is what comes with the kit…. Kinda sucks haha

Seat cushions are olive green.

Yoyager does one in PE. I did a build log on the archived Armorama that showed what you can with a small drill bit and a lot of time on your hands.

Other than my stash? Try eBay. My daughter scanned the intructions for someone last week. Maybe that guy doesn’t plan on using all of it.

Hahaha i used it but the only thing it gave for the turret ring was this

Im looking for the entire support system and everything

I remember you could get the entire mounting system on Shapeways, but the kit is specifically CAD for the early Special Forces GMVs (Ground Mobility Vehicles) before the M900/M1000 series were replace with the M1100 series ECV Humvees.

These turret rings were made beefier, to hold the weight and recoil of weapons, like the M134D
Minigun.

That photo looks like what I scratch built way back then in '07, We had been attached to 5th Group as an extra company in Iraq and I photographed their collection of GMVs. One that I particularly liked and built had no roof - just that framework added to what I recall was a rear roll bar.

Looks really damn good. :+1: I can almost feel the stress of operator level maintenance on a Monday morning at the motor pool. LOL.

And….another one walkaround

Restored Humvee - never seen so many switches and toggles on a regular m1025. Plus I can spot the Ibis-Tek Knockout Window handles.

What kind of humvee is this!? I’m also in the process of making a functional m1114 but this just gave me some ideas…. Not saying this is fictional but it’s still awesome

That’s right-these are handles for quick evacuation through the front windows. They were usually found on the M1151

No. I have photos of those in my walk around as well. I believe Makinen has the walk around I’m talking about, There is no roof over the crew compartment at all.
