What is the problem with Academy hood? I noticed some upgrade sets from Wind Mark / D Corporation did have the “correct” bonnet version.

Our gun trucks wewre notoriously heavy. The suspension settled lower and often towed out. I cheated on lowerng the suspension simply by drilling the holes in resin wheels a little higher. It’s very difficult to see the cheat afterward b ut it does lower the vehicle.

Sorry for missing out on the conversations, stupid life got in the way again! … that is some interesting info about the nato tri color pattern, i honestly thought it was random, guess not. And there is a slight height difference between Bronco and academy
I think academys looks more aggressive haha. Anyways I think i might be done with the interior!

Even when not on deployment. We were even authorized to purchase H&K 416 uppers. Then were told we could take them with us, but were probably not going to be able to take them back home from Iraq. Thankfully H&K let us cancel our orders. As it turns we fell in on some once we got in country, as you can see from the one photo.
We also got new H&K Mk 23 .45’s right before we deployed. Absolute tack drivers. So we trained with them and then were told it was pointless taking them because we wouldn’t be able to get ammo for them. That turned out to be untrue as well.
And the Sig Mk25. Don’t know why we didn’t keep those either. What is with all the Navy weapons we were getting anyway? We have a sniper rifle that a Mk something or other as well…Multiple caliber.

That is the new ITAS sight, which came along way after my time as a TOW gunner. It integrates the two lenses of the old Daylight Tracker, plus the AN/TAS-4 Thermal Night Sight into one single unit. I can’t say what color the lenses are, but here are some decent photos of them.

Paint them both semi-gloss black, then give the bottom one a coating of clear red.

Looking at this image, I would go with clear green over flat black. Maybe it’s just the angle of the lens and how much light is reflected on the image.

I was actually thinking making a clear purple for the bottom lens…. Is there some kind of color changing paint?

you can use some of the decals that AFV offers for their vehicles. I got the one for the M1126 Stryker Build and it has enough for 5 vehicles. I think there’s even a round decal that could work.

I did an image search for “TOW ITAS”. That is the name of the new sight. Most photos don’t have a good clear view of the lenses.

Yes, the red will be visible. It also depends on the angle you are looking at the lens from.
