Hi all- long shot here, but have been trying to track down a Cobra Company MH-60M Blackhawk conversion kit for a couple years now with no success. CC was acquired by a small operation and no hope for any production of new kits anytime soon. Any advice on where to search for one? Many thanks! Have a sweet GWOT ‘over the horizon’ diorama I want to make.
Let me be the first to welcome you to the forum, Eric!
I had/have that set, in various bags and boxes throughout the model storage facility known as my home. If I remember correctly it was an almalgamation of several detail sets, and the addition of some newer parts. I remember thinking it looked like two different people had a hand in casting the parts. Some were very well done, others not so much.
The rotor tips were particularly disappointing. In addition, the kit made no allowances for the new wider chord rotor blades, so they would have been incorrect in any case. I think with the right references a semi-skilled modeler could make most of the corrections, particularly if you bogart some parts from Kitty Hawk kits. Word on the street is an M model may be on the way. You’ve waited this long…

You would probably be better off getting the new Academy UH-60M and scratching the MH-specific parts. Academy has also released images of a sprue that looks to be for an MH-60M as well, but nothing more on it. Check them out here:
