Finally finished after 9 months of work (and procrastination!
I like how it turned out in the end. I appreciate the help, suggestions, tips, etc… you fine lads have provided here. Thank you very much. This project took so long because of simple procrastination/laziness to pull out my modelmaking setup, lots of schoolwork, and a fairly cold winter. I can now finally finish painting the Pak 40 that I have… I’ll go a lot easier on the details this time, just some simple weathering.

Nicely done. One to be proud of.
Keep posting here and guys will give you more tips and guidance. We all learn more from others, no matter how long we have been modelling.

Very nice finish of a unique subject. Build, paint, and weathering overall well done

Thank you! I will definitely keep posting on this forum. I like it better here than on reddit, because you start a thread and it’s like a conversation where you can keep contributing images, etc… while others can also do the same. I also love the community here, you guys are great. I hope I will learn a lot more.

Anyway, to “officially” end this thread (it’s still gonna be open for discussion/comments), I will submit my final review of the build (painting/weathering standpoint).
4/5 for the whole process. I enjoyed the painting/weathering process very much, but there were still some issues, notably the rubber band tracks and some awkward angles made by the armor. However, I liked the challenge and am happy that I tried new things, like track weathering, debris, mud, and splash mud. Great type of kit to paint and weather, I recommend it for this (even though the build itself is a pain).
