One of my all time favorites - I’ve actually seen this bike in person back in the 80’s. Fans of the Werner comic books need no explanation. The Porsche won the real life race

I don’t think this model of the Katana ever saw production - square tubular frame and mono-shock:

This is what eventually came out:

It was a revolutionary design straight from the factory, but I’m rather pleased with my own take on it, circa 1986 - cut down fender and seat, Marzocchi gas shocks, badass paint job. In fact, Suzuki rereleased the Katana two years ago with an almost identical paint job. I wonder if I could collect royalties?

It may also be the first use of home made Bare Metal Foil.
