2025 Predictions

I’m sure there will be a 2025 wish list, which this thread is becoming. No worries, I’m not a “content Nazi” like they have on some other sites. But the purpose of me posting was to see what, based on deductive reasoning, you guys thought has a good chance of being released.

I would be pleased as punch if someone (like Hobby Boss) does an HS 30 Kurz & Lang. Big gap in Cold War armor, but not super well known, I think. Probably get another Tiger kit instead…

Edit: also EE-9 Cascaval & -11 Urutu, so I can continue my collection of Ecuadorian armor. That’s probably even more of a pipe dream…

Do you have access to these vehicles in Equador? If so, it can increase the odds exponentially. Waiting for someone to scratchbuild them in the hopes that it will cause them to magically come out in kit form truly is wishfull thinking.

I see EE-11 rolling around, because they are Ecuador’s amphibious capability, & living in a beach town, sometimes they do training ops in the area. I have yet to see a Cascaval rolling around, though. Every once in a while, I see an AMX-VCI on the streets. That would be a good, updated model to release (instead of the Heller kit!)

I’ve thought about scratching the series, since it is vaguely based on the M8 armored car. But I don’t have confidence in my scratch-building skills…

I would say it is a fairly safe prediction to say we will see a kit of the production IDF Eitan in the new year.

Flyhawk is going to release its 1/700 Moltke! It’s gonna happen I tell you!

My impression is that when an author publishes an article or book with detailed information and plans for a vehicle, exotic or otherwise, the odds of that vehicle appearing as a model jump dramatically.

For example, with the recent publication of a huge book on KV tanks, I expect some model company to use that information to release a new series of more accurate KV models. I do not know if it will happen in the coming year, but it will happen.

What recent articles and/or books contain updated and complete information on a vehicle? I would put my money on the vehicles described in those publications.

Some big brain action going on here. Calculating how much shelf space he’ll need to ensure they get full display space. :+1:t3:

I’d be even more pleased if a company with a reputation for accuracy did them! Definitely a hole in the Bundeswehr line-up in my stash…

Your right. Predictions, my head got adrift for the moment. Zuikie Mura makes the German TA line of aircraft in 1/32ndso they might make a 190D in 1/32nd.

That seems feasible with a little help.

How about a Hobby Boss 1/32 scale B-26C/D Marauder. It would almost complete the twin engine U.S. bomber and complement their other twin and four engined kits.

That seems feasible.

All the predictions will be wrong!

Predictions are like plans,
they crumble when they meet reality

Well, that’s impossible - if they’re all wrong, then yours is wrong. But yours would be among them, making it correct, which it can’t be.

But I’m betting at least three will be correct.
