I bet there will be some new waffen-ss figures in 1/35…
They’re not SS, they’re wearing DAK gear and the asphalt troopers were never (officially) in the desert…
Cheers,
M
I can see Airfix doing something similar. Reboxing the Spitfire, Mustang and Tempest in mid 45 markings. Probably with the Firefly and ‘Tiger’ included.
I expect to see more oldies released from them. Hopefully some of the good ones (fingers crossed for the Skyvan).
Hi Rob,
sorry for the late reply, just discovered this. I usually don´t go into predictions or wishful thinking. I rather rely on hard facts, but I can´t tell. After my experiences with various makers, I think that predictions are futile. One just can look into the heads of Chinese model companies. I provided Trumpeter with real good stuff on HEMTT and M777 but so far nothing.
Remember the second decade of this century, when my predictions were facts? The third decade is shaping up…
Ditto for me and several companies. But I’ve learned to quit wasting my time with Trumpeter.
I’m not in the business of predicting; I have hopes but that’s a little different.
I do however, look forward to what Amusing Hobby choose to bring out - more often than not - a surprise!
At least one but probably two, 1/16 WW2 US vehicle/armor from Andy.
Magic Factory AMPV series
Magic Factory 1/35 Polaris MRZR 6x6.
I want mine armed either with a missile launcher (doesn’t have to be Jackal), loitering munitions launchers, or a 4-shot Fletcher APKWS C-UAS rocket launcher with rocket reload canisters in the cargo bed.
No one in the US Defense Department has it in service just yet.
With a cargo bed that is 65% larger than those of previous models, the MRZR Alpha 6x6 extends Polaris’s lineup of tactical vehicles, carrying heavier payloads such as this Jackal launcher. (Picture source: Army Recognition)

You are a man after my heart with this list sometimes I feel like I’m the only modern us military builder. It’s a lonely island to be on. I would like to also see a A3 conversion or new kit for the M88A3 as well as the DUCE and the SEE truck from the engineering
world in 1/35.
Properly engineered, i.e. adding separate bogey mounts to the M88A2 hull, a company could set themselves up for success for the A3, when I find one. Then you just need mounts in different locations for the hydropneumatic units. Easily accomplished by having partial holes inside the hull for the modeler to drill out, depending on which version it will be.
How about a new tooled M113A3, from what I understand the AFV Club Hull isn’t accurate for anything later then a A2 due to the way it is set up.
If I post RSD-10 Pioneer (SS-20) 1:35 often enough - will it happen?
Since the odds of me or H-H finding one are about zero, I’d say your near bet is Trumpeter. That seems right up their alley.
NASA’s Artemis II. Actually, there are some metal and 3D printed options out there already that look very cool and realistic, but so far no one has produced it in plastic.
Secret Service sniper team in 1/24 or larger.
Air Force’s X-37B in plastic. The only options that exist are in resin.
That would indeed be VERY interesting, so fingers crossed Brian.
Meanwhile, you could make do with one of these:
Haha! Looks like how my models end up anyway Terry!
I’m only keen, well, I say only, because it was an important weapon system in its own right, but together with the Cruise and Pershing kits (I Love Kit) available, this would complete the trio of game-changers of the 80s when the decision was made by NATO to deploy GLCM and Pershing 2 to counter the Soviet deployment of SS-20. Not that I’ve room for them all in my house by any means.
For just a flavour of those sinister days:
How about an M1299? It could sit on the shelf next to the Crusader and the SGT York.
