The frames are different because they are different vehicles. Even though they look similar to a HEMTT and are both built by Oshkosh, the LVSR is a totally different vehicle.
All look the same for uninformed people.
Made by Oshkosh, so HEMTT family.
It’s easier to explain to people that way.
If you start talking about Mk48, PLS-LVS ect people tend to get confused.
HEMTT is US Army and all the rest is USMC, if I’m not wrong. Correct?
HEMTT and PLS are the same family and used by US Army. Mk48 and LVSR are from the same family line (not HEMMT line) and used by the USMC.
At the risk of being insensitive, I tried to get the engine files from the link you posted and the dropbox does not have the files. Did they get moved? Not trying to be pushy, just wondering.
Reference page for the LVSR vehicles:
I removed them, needed the space on Dropbox.
Going to put them on an other platform.
I’m jealous of your talents using CAD. I wish I had the capabilities to do this. Keep up the great work and just for clarification are you selling the files for all of your HEMTT work?
So I took my CAT C-18 engine for the M1070A1 to compare it to the Trumpeter LVSR engine.
Mine is 100% spot on regarding dimensions, shape ect.
The files where put online for free, and donations would not be refused.
Still waiting on the first donation though.
Except for the height (don’t know this yet until I build the kit) this CAT C-15 engine should fit.
So I designed the alternator on top separate.
Where to find the files?
Where to donate?
Damn that is a beautiful print.
Great work. Are you still allowing members here to use your STL files for the M1074/75? I am building a M1075 by smashing kits together and hand building what I can. I am more that happy to pay (Paypal/VENMO)for permissions to print. Sorry your trust has been broken in the past.
That is indeed a nice piece. I am not in HEMMT mode at the moment, but I might suggest separate parking brake and air supply knobs.
